GDDKiA and COVEC reach agreement

The General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) and Chinese consortium headed by COVEC have reached an amicable solution of their dispute over the construction of A2 sections between Lodz and Warsaw. The dispute dates back to 2011.

On 19 May 2017, the parties entered into agreement settling mutual claims related to the construction of the A2 motorway, which ended a court dispute between COVEC and GDDKiA. Pan Shi Ping, the chairman of the consortium’s board of directors, hopes that the agreement will help COVEC continue to build its image of a reliable partner in Poland while paving the way for participation in tender procedures in both Poland and other European countries for Chinese companies.
